Summer Shirts

I wanted to do some fun summer appliques for my great nephews. They love to go to the beach, so I thought the sailboat and crab would work nicely.

Hope the boys enjoy their shirts.

Happy Father's Day

My Dad has been gone for almost 14 years now and I still have days that I miss him. When I look in my grandson's blue eyes I think of him.

 I can also say I have been truly blessed with my husband being a great dad to our girls. He always had the wisdom when to tell me to let them go and grow. They are now two independent women. He also is a great pawpaw to Stuart.

The latest dad in our family is my son-in-law, Kyle. Kyle has taken on the role of being a dad with ease and I am very grateful when I watch him with Stuart. I would like to wish these men a very Happy Father's Day!

Aprons

My daughter brought home the cutest apron she bought at a craft show. I finally had time to make a couple.

I found some cute fabric to use for the aprons. I love shopping for fabric and I guess my one wish would to have a good fabric store where I live. I have to drive 45 miles to a fabric store and it is still not the greatest.

You use a hand towel for the bottom of the apron and add gathered fabric for the top. I used the stripe for the sash.

This is the second one I made. I loved the orange and once again I was able to use the stripe. This apron was given for a birthday gift. My daughter made several out of the cutest fabric. They are such fun to make!

Patriotic Shirts

We have a family reunion around the 4th of July every year. It is great seeing everyone, but it is always very hot. I appliqued shirts for some of the young cousins to wear this year. I did a onesie for Stuart because it is his first 4th of July.

The shirts were fun to do and I hope they enjoy them as we celebrate together.
