Favorite Fabric Store

We made our usual trip to Colorado to escape the heat and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I shared with you earlier that I was going to my favorite fabric store while there. The name of the store is Fringe and it is located in Salida, CO. Now keep in mind I only get to go once a year when we go to CO and if I am lucky, sometimes twice a year. The store is roughly 1050 miles from home and that creates a bit of a problem.

This store has been opened 3 or 4 years and I visited it the first year of operation. They still use the old shelves from the original store and it is like walking back in time. The display windows take me back to my childhood when we would window shop on Saturday afternoons. It has been so much fun to watch their inventory of wonderful fabric and yarn grow. They offer neat classes and also have some gift items. The owner shared with me that they will soon have a website where I can order online. That might be a problem because I get a little excited and have trouble controlling my spending. :) Can you tell that I love this little store?

AWESOME! I hate big box stores. How lucky that you discovered this place. Love your blog!
