Ready for Fall

We are ready for cooler weather! It will be a while before that happens, but football is in the air with people wanting to show their team spirit.

Kylie is going to show her support for LSU with her football shirt. These can be made to go with any team colors.

Kylie is ready for October and November with her pumpkin shirt.

A New Adventure



Well, I have decided to take my hobby and turn it into a small business. I am now taking orders for things that I make. The inventory and choices will be small at first and hopefully will grow. I look forward in helping with your embroidery needs or wants.



First Birthday

Roger is turning one and his birthday party is a pirate theme with him being "Jolly Roger." Roger is the sweetest boy and usually has a smile on that precious face. If you haven't figured it out, Roger is my grandson.


 

Roger's mom wanted us to use this little pirate dog. He is a friendly looking fellow. I added one to the bib and left the shirt plain.

 


We couldn't leave big brother, Stuart out of the celebration. I used a different color scheme with his pirate dog.

Ana Elizabeth

Ana arrived a week ago and I wanted to do something special to welcome her. Her mommy chose not to find out if she was having a boy or girl so I had to wait to make the gift. I had fun doing a couple of burps and bibs.

 This is an old design, but it really turned out nicely with the polka dot and chevron.

 I just used a pink and white dot that I had to applique her name on the burp cloth. It's bright and cheery.

 I love white on white especially with a pretty monogram.

This is a little bib I picked up and just added the name to make it special.  Hope Ana's mom is pleased with the gifts for her new baby girl.

Happy Birthday, Stuart!

Our oldest grandson loves Curious George. That was the theme of his birthday party this year, so I went on a search for a Curious George applique. This is what I came up with for our birthday boy. I also ordered the fabric for the two applique. I wanted everything to be "George" for him.

 Stuart is now in a toddler bed so I made him a special pillowcase. Isn't George just a happy little fellow?

 Of course, I couldn't leave little brother out so I made him a Curious George onesie.

I guess I need to start working on Easter for my little guys next. It comes early this year, but I'm ready for spring. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Pumpkin Shirts for My Boys

 I wanted to applique something with a pumpkin for my grandsons. I decided on two different designs instead of making them matching shirts.

 Roger's onesie has the wheelbarrow with the pumpkin. It was quick and easy to do.

 Stuart's shirt has the old truck with a pumpkin. He loves anything that goes right now, so that was the choice for him.

This was another easy design to stitch and it such a cute one for little boys!

Fall + Football = Fun

I love fall! It brings cooler days and fun times. That can mean football, mums, scarecrows, gumbo, pumpkins and just about anything else one wants. I have enjoyed working in my yard, but I did take time to make my grandsons some new things for fall. I am working on some more fun shirts this week.

Big Bro and Little Bro

Tomorrow is the day we meet Roger. We are so excited! I will now be sewing for two little boys. The first matching shirts they will wear are little bro and big bro. I liked this applique because it was a little different.

 Of course, Roger's is a onesie and Stuart's is a big 18 month.

Onesies

I wanted to do some onesies for Roger. His mommy wanted me to do one with a bow tie and suspenders. I found a bow tie, but not with suspenders. I decided to use ribbon for the suspenders. I had to be sure and measure the ribbon long enough so his shorts or pants will cover the bottom to give the look she wants.

 I think it turned out cute.

This one has the circle with the alligator and name. I used brown gingham for the circle and green for the gator. I haven't done too many onesies, but once you start it's so much fun.

Fall Fun For Stuart

The month of October is always a fun month and I wanted to have a couple of things ready for Stuart.

 I found this cute scarecrow and put it on a brown onesie. Stuart will be ready for the pumpkin patch.

 The scarecrow is such a happy fellow.

Another fall event in our area is the fair and rodeo. I pulled out my cowboy boots from 50 something years ago. I know they won't work for Stuart this year so I decided on a boot applique.

 I decided to use bandanna fabric for the  boots on a black onesie. I must tell you the thread looks much better in person. The color doesn't look good in the photo at all.

I thought they were fun little boots and how cute it will be with a pair of jeans.

Josie

Josie will make her appearance tomorrow, January 17. We are excited to welcome this great niece. I am sure she will be as sweet as this Lily Frog.

Her initials are so pretty together. I hope Josie's mom enjoys these and other goodies that are on their way to CO.

This and That

I have been just doing a little of this and that the past week. I wanted to share with you some of my goodies.

I don't have any little girls in my family right now and I wanted to do some pumpkin bloomers. My daughter teaches with a lady who has a granddaughter, so these are for Hunter.

My sister needed a burp for a friend at church. I loved the lion and then added the name. I sure I will use that lion a lot.

A friend need a generic girl burp for a shower. I picked out the ribbon first and chose the colors for the embroidery to match.

We are going to have our first grandchild in February. I picked up these cute bibs and added Stuart's name. I just wanted to see it on something.
